Kanayo E. Ubesie, MD, FACOG earned his medical degree (MD) at the prestigious University of Texas, Southwestern Medical School, Dallas, Texas USA. Prior to this, he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Radiologic Sciences from Northwestern State University, Natchitoches, Louisiana, USA and a Master of Science degree in Medical Physics from the University of Texas, Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences, Houston, Texas, USA.
After receiving his medical degree, Dr. Ubesie spent four years in specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Hahnemann University Hospital, Philadelphia, Pennsylvannia, USA. In 1996 he became Board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology, by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. In 1997 he became a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Dr. Ubesie established a thriving private OB/GYN practice in Houston at the famous Memorial Hermann Hospital Southwest, Houston, Texas USA. He specializes in low and high risk pregnancies, major/minor/laparoscopic gynecologic surgeries, family planning and infertility.
Over the years he has established alliances with his school mates, professional colleagues and the Houston Fertility Institute, Houston, Texas USA. He deploys these alliance capitals at Griggs Specialist Hospital, and this has elevated the establishment to a first class status, in Nigeria.
Dr. Kanayo Ubesie is licensed and maintains his licences with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN). As a medical doctor, Dr. Ubesie also pioneered and has championed healthcare outreach to third world nations. He is the President of One World Healthcare USA. Inc., a non-profit organisation based in USA.
Since 2003, the organization has conducted several medical mission programs in Nigeria and the Philippines with plans to expand the depth, breadth and reach of the program in future. As a commuinty leader and advocate, Dr, Ubesie belongs to several community organizations both in Nigeria and the USA. He is married with five children.
